We’re delighted to announce that our recent application to SFP to start our journey towards the Silver Award has been successful!
Food Durham’s Bronze SFP award recognised the breadth and strength of activity by all our partners across County Durham who are working towards a fairer, healthier and greener food system. We’re aiming to start work in September, launching and implementing a new Strategy and Action Plan, that updates the Sustainable Local Food Strategy 2014- 2020; strengthening the partnership and identifying ambitious new targets and areas of work. The award process is expected to take two years and will involve a high level of commitment from all our partners to take our sustainable food journey to the next level. We believe the partnership is more than up to the task, and our communities, businesses and wider society can only benefit from the fantastic work they deliver.
