Invitation to Community Growing and Food Network Meeting
25th April

The Community Growing and Food Network is an online network for community organisations in County Durham that are involved in or are interested in, community food and growing projects to come together to share experiences, connect with each other and discuss topics of interest.

Our next meeting will be in person on Thursday 25th April at Wharton Park in Durham from 10.00am – 1.00pm.

This is a joint Community Growing and Food Network and Food Durham event. Come and learn from Howard Leslie how we can produce food that is good for biodiversity and climate-friendly, discover the work being done by Wharton Park and the Volunteers at Friends of Wharton Park Community Garden, and have a go at some simple ideas to encourage wildlife that you can take back to your community gardens and allotments. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

As part of the session, there will be a walk through the park to the community garden with a practical activity, the park is very sloped for those who have not been before.

Once your booking is confirmed, further information will be sent out before the event.

Please note places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
