Food Durham, the County Durham Food Partnership, will be hosting its second Community Good Food Network get-together on Thursday 18 March 2021 via Zoom.  The theme for the session is food and climate and there will be contributions from people working on this topic both locally and nationally.  Importantly, we hope that people will go away inspired to do more in their day-to-day work to reduce the impact of food on the climate emergency and with a better understanding of those links.

The Community Good Food Network is aimed at the many community activists working with food in some form or other, whether that is a mutual aid group providing food for people who are shielding during the pandemic, groups that collect food surplus for redistribution or groups that create healthy hot meals for residents in their area. Anyone with a concern around food in a community context is very welcome to attend.

The session on Thursday 18 March will include speakers from HUBBUB, the national charity and from Re-f-use CIC in Chester-Le-Street and there will also be plenty of time for discussion.  The session is an hour long and it starts at 3pm. .  You can sign up via the Durham Community Action website and participants will be sent a Zoom link a few days before the gathering itself.
