This year, Durham County Council is running a Garden Treasures competition for residents to share the outdoor spaces they have created during lockdown and celebrate how gardening is helping people cope during this challenging time. Our gardens can also improve our access to fresh food and support biodiversity; reduce our impact on the climate and help us eat seasonally. So if you think your herb patch, compost bin, veg bed or wildlife area is just as beautiful as your begonias go on and enter the competition and share the wonderful diversity of our growing spaces!
