On 1 July 2015 a half-day mini-conference took place at Durham Town Hall, for food producers, caterers, food buyers and public sector partners. Key topics to be covered included:

- Are there opportunities for local food producers to sell their produce to the public sector?
- How can public sector food and catering be made more sustainable?
